Pupils at Old Dalby Primary School travel back in time to experience lesson in 1918
Schoolchildren at Old Dalby found themselves transported back to 1918 when they had a lesson in the village hall which was transformed into its original use as a school.
Four classes of children attended the day to experience school as it was then thanks to the newly formed Old Dalby and Queensway Heritage Group who organised it.
The girls donned pinafores and bows and the boys starched collars to get into character. During the lessons, which included slates to write on, pupils were given an insight into World War One life by Mr Strict the head teacher and Miss Nice the assistant mistress.
